Girls' Recreational Gymnastics

For girls, recreational gymnastics starts at the Bronze Level and goes through the Gold Level. Once the gymnast has all Gold level skills, she will be evaluated and invited to join either JAGS’ Level 4 USAG team or Recreational team.

Each class begins with a general warm-up and stretching. During the class the children will work on all Olympic events each week. Emphasis will be placed on learning new skills/routines as well as reinforcing good basic fundamentals. Strong emphasis is placed on body awareness and safety.

The Bronze Level class is for any athletes, first grade and above, that would like to better their gymnastics skills or take the next step from our preschool program into our beginner level. In this level athletes will learn a variety of different progressions to start developing their routines and attaining their goals.

Our Level 2 classes begin where our Level 1 classes leave off in skill development, while still keeping a strong emphasis on fun and enjoyment during learning. By this point, athletes have proven that they have mastered the Level 1 skills, have shown ambition to progress into the next gymnastics level. The Level 2 class is a wonderful level for a maturing gymnast that is becoming more confident with their gymnastics and desires more difficult progressions.

By Gold Level 3, athletes have accomplished the Silver Level required skills/routines and are ready for another challenge, but not yet ready for our team program. Gold Level is critical in each athlete's development as they perfect the skills they have focused on in Levels Bronze & Silver. The skills in this level and progressions trained help to encourage confidence and consistency as athletes encounter a new level of difficulty.

Once they master the skills in their current level they will be promoted to the next level. Your child's coach will inform you when they are ready to move. USA Gymnastics developed the progression of skills/routines. Training is provided in flexibility, strength, and the progression of skills on the apparatus.

Once the gymnast has all level 3 skills, she will be evaluated and invited to join JAGS’ Level 4 USAG Team.

Mighty Munchkins
(5-7 year old advanced, special invitation only)

Sometimes, within our preschool program, we find children that have an exceptional talent for the sport of gymnastics, and a desire to learn that demands our attention. It is our staff's commitment to children like these to invite them to our Hot Shots workouts for a "quicker pace workout" as they train more difficult progressions in a longer workout period. However, it is also important for us to train at a faster pace, without compromising the enjoyment of our preschool program experience. We aim to offer the same enjoyable memories of gymnastics for our young athletes, but at a rate that keeps the interest of these specially gifted children. (Mighty Munchkin is a feeder program to our girls' team programs; therefore, only girls are allowed to participate)

Compulsory (special invitation only)
Must enter at level 4 with required skills

Optional
Compulsory pre-requisite, must mandate from level 6

Cheer Program

Cheerleading classes are for a variety of ages, ranging anywhere from 5 years old to 18 years old. Our cheerleading program will accommodate athletes that are interested in training specific areas of the sport of cheerleading or just to learn general cheer basics. Classes will be held in the recreational gym, but only rotate on specific apparatus, i.e. trampoline, tumbling strips, and floor. The variety of training mats, soft resi landings, and cutting edge equipment make our facility the premiere training gym for athletes interested in preparing progressively and especially safely!
